Jen Buettner is a Registered Nurse , Registered Yoga Teacher, and a MB-EAT practitioner. She is passionate about yoga and mindfulness as a tool to alleviate stress, face life challenges by shifting perspective,  and live a life in a positive way. She began her journey after her decision to combine her experiences in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Pediatric Nursing, and her passion of daily yoga and mindful practices. Yoga helped her to balance taking care of others and herself while creating a mindful, healthy approach to life.  She hopes to share  with others the practice of by linking breath and movement to decrease stress and anxiety and enhance one's own mindful approach to wellness.

Jen received her bachelor’s degree from University of Iowa’s College of Nursing before starting her 10 year career at Children’s Memorial Hospital, now Lurie’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago. She currently works as a nurse and behavioral coach @ Comprehensive Gastrointestinal Health. She also works as a health coach for Family Well. She is a certified 200 hr RYT yoga teacher who worked with private patients and groups in an intensive outpatient mental health center for children and adolescents. She earned a certificate as a MB-EAT Practitioner ( Mindfulness-based eating awareness training) with the mindful eating training institute ( METI) with Andrea Lieberstein, MPH, RDN, RYT  Founder: Mindful Eating Training Institute (METI).

As your wellness coach, she collaborates with the patient where they are in the moment. She focuses on a mindful, holistic and intentional approach to health and wellness to create balance in their life. When patient is ready and willing, she works with the patient to build their tools to adapt to their lives in a positive way. She recognizes that everyone has their own unique approach to their mind and body wellness . She hopes to assist to create a plan and behavioral modifications that will help the person be their best selves one habit at a time. With the atomic habit approach, she supports and empowers the patient to create a lifestyle that matches their desired intention.

She currently lives in her hometown with her husband and 2 children. She maintains an active lifestyle outdoors, enjoys disconnecting in nature, practicing yoga and meditation daily. She also enjoys connecting with others who share her passion for the importance of stress reduction and disease prevention.
